Information for Residents along the Marathon Course

Dear Neighbors:

The 4th Annual Las Vegas Marathon and half-marathon will be coming your way Sunday December 7, 2008! The race begins at approx 6:07 *am (*subject to change) at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino with celebration points across the Las Vegas Valley along the 26.2 mile course (see below for complete map of the marathon route).
 
Minor traffic delays and road closures will occur along the immediate course and we hope this advance notice will help you to minimize the inconvenience you may experience between the hours of 5:00am and 1:00pm, Sunday December 7th.  If you anticipate traveling during those hours, please be mindful of the delays and plan accordingly.
 
While we anticipate this race to be a spectacular event, we will need the community’s enthusiasm, participation, and most of all cooperation to truly make it a success.
The world will be watching Las Vegas as we host this historic event, Sunday, December 7th.
